But the true question comes in when you ask yourself, Can You really trust what is on the other end? and If So, Will it really work or is the new found adventure destined to fail? Personally I think that online long distance relationships can work because if there is a mutual love and whether both have the time to know each other deeply, I don’t see the problem why shouldn’t it work out. I have a testimony; it is about an uncle of mine. He met now my politic aunt, through AOL (America Online), they both met through this new and growing type of services to meet people online. My uncle met my aunt since he was 23 and my aunt was 16, they both lived in the United States but now this marriage would have never occurred because my uncle lived a pole apart from where my aunt used to live. She lived in California and my uncle in Virginia. They both knew how to handle their 5 years relationship, my aunt never personally knew my uncle, and she decided to go to the university in Virginia. As you can notice now they got to know and their relationship, turned to be from an online relationship to a personal relationship that would last for the rest of their life.

I have never had a long distance relationship but I think they don’t work, my cousin who lives in El Salvador used to have a long distance relationship with one guy from Germany, they met randomly in a website and really soon became friends, one day he asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes because he was really handsome, she thought that it wouldn’t be serious but then she fell in love, she was always thinking about him, but she didn’t trust him, she spent all her time in the computer hoping he would log in, she always lived hoping that he wouldn’t cheat on her, he told her that he loved her more than anything, the first couple of months everything was going well but then they stared to fight because they couldn’t trust each other, one day he just stopped logging in, she was so sad she found out through a program that he had blocked her, and later found out through hi5 that he had another girlfriend in his country, she was heartbroken, fortunately she recovered and found someone else that lived near her.
